WHY ARE CALLED CAROL? BOOK
The carol, as its name suggests, is the song of town. Which was used to record the daily life of peoples. According to some historians, Carol came in the thirteenth century, to be released in Spain in the XV / XVI, and in Latin America since the seventeenth century.
In the beginning was a English poetic form, and means song of the village or peasant song because, apparently, was a villain or rustic singing villagers in their celebrations with simple musical structure and used it as a record of major made of a region. Throughout its history, Carol has undergone many transformations, until the nineteenth century his name has been exclusively to denote songs that allude to the mystery of Christmas.
